Trump Vows to Outdo 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal
US President Donald Trump has said that an upcoming nuclear deal with Iran will be significantly better than the 2015 agreement, pushing back against criticism from Democrats and some experts over the speed and complexity of the negotiations.
Writing on his Truth Social network, Trump maintained he was under no pressure and would not accept any compromise that did not serve US interests. He identified his primary objective as ensuring Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, a longstanding goal of his administration.
Trump indicated that negotiations were progressing and that a deal could be reached relatively quickly, though key details remain disputed, particularly on the question of uranium enrichment.
He also sharply criticized the Democrats, accusing them of weakening the US negotiating position, and framed the entire process as an effort to correct the mistakes of previous administrations.
