Rubio to Broker First Israel-Lebanon Talks Since Ceasefire

Israeli and Lebanese officials will hold talks in Washington on Thursday, according to an Israeli source who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity. The Times of Israel reported the same information.

The talks are expected to take place between Israeli ambassador to Washington Yechiel Leiter and his Lebanese counterpart Nada Hamadeh-Moawad. The meeting will be attended by Israeli, Lebanese and US officials.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other US diplomats will facilitate the discussions. It will be the first meeting between the two countries since a ceasefire came into effect on Thursday.
