Two Arrested After Attempted Arson at London Synagogue
British police have arrested two teenagers, aged 17 and 19, in connection with an attempted arson attack on the Kenton United Synagogue in north London.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning and caused minor smoke damage, with no injuries reported.
It is the latest in a series of incidents targeting Jewish sites in London in recent weeks. Police have recorded several similar cases, including attempted arson attacks and the torching of ambulances belonging to the Jewish Voluntary Ambulance Service.
Counter-terrorism investigators are examining possible links between the incidents and Iran. British security officials have previously warned that Tehran has sought to use criminal intermediaries in the UK to carry out hostile activities.
Tensions were further heightened over the weekend by an alert at the Israeli embassy in London, following reports of drones carrying potentially dangerous substances. Police later said the items seized were not harmful.
