Trump Organization Plans 70-Story Tower in Tbilisi
The Trump Organization plans to build the roughly 70-story Trump Tower Tbilisi in Georgia’s capital, according to The Wall Street Journal. The project is expected to be the tallest building in the city and will include luxury residences, retail space and hotel services.
Architecture firm Gensler is involved in the design, while a consortium including Archi Group and Biograpi Living is backing the project. The Sapir Organization, which has long-standing ties to the Trump family, is also involved.
The Trump Organization has recently expanded its activities abroad, mainly through licensing and branding agreements as part of its current business strategy.
Critics have pointed to potential conflicts of interest linked to foreign projects, but the company has long maintained that its business is separate from politics. Eric Trump, the president’s son, has dismissed such concerns in the past.
The project follows earlier Trump Organization plans in Georgia that were ultimately canceled. Since Donald Trump returned to the presidency, the company has significantly expanded its overseas activities, including projects in Asia and the Middle East.
