Peskov: Attack on Iran could destabilize the Middle East

Russia calls for restraint amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that diplomatic options have not been exhausted and warned that any use of force against Tehran could destabilize the entire Middle East.

Moscow was responding to a call from US President Donald Trump, who told Iran that if it did not agree to a new nuclear deal, it could face military action.

Citing sources familiar with the situation, the Axios portal reported on Thursday that the Trump administration is hosting high-ranking defense and intelligence officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia at talks on Iran this week.
