Zelensky Seeks Deeper Security Ties With Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky paid his second visit to Saudi Arabia in April as Kyiv seeks to deepen strategic security cooperation.

After talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Zelensky described the meeting as highly productive and highlighted three main areas of cooperation: defense, energy and food security. He also noted that Kyiv had secured financial guarantees from European partners.

Ukraine wants to expand exports of its military know-how, particularly its experience in air defense and drone protection, which has proved effective during the war. Kyiv is also offering cooperation on energy projects and efforts to stabilize food supplies.

The visit follows an agreement reached in March that reportedly laid the groundwork for broader contracts between the two countries.
