Hungarian Officials Offer Tisza Information for Immunity

Some Hungarian officials have offered the Tisza party information in exchange for keeping their jobs or securing possible immunity, the BBC reported, citing two sources familiar with the party’s internal affairs.

At the same time, Tisza is seeking to prevent the destruction of documents related to corruption in ministries following its election victory. According to the BBC, while documents are being shredded in some offices, other officials have provided the party with digital copies, for example, on USB sticks.

After the election, party leader Peter Magyar warned of the possible destruction of materials and urged people to report such cases through a dedicated platform.
