Tucker Carlson Regrets Trump Support and "Misleading" People

Former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has publicly expressed regret over his pre-election support for US President Donald Trump, saying he will regret it for a long time. He apologized for possibly influencing the public in the wrong direction, NBC News reports.

Carlson was among Trump's most prominent backers during the presidential campaign but has since become a sharp critic of the US-Israeli war with Iran. He said he and others bear some responsibility for the current situation.

The journalist also argued that acknowledging one's own responsibility matters as much as changing one's mind.

Trump, in an earlier response, referred to former supporters who have turned against him as "stupid people". He called Carlson a "low IQ person" who has "absolutely no idea what's going on".
