Trump Shares New AI Image with Religious Theme Amid Criticism
US President Donald Trump has reposted another AI-generated image with a religious theme on Truth Social, depicting himself behind a microphone with his eyes closed as he is embraced by Jesus, who also appears with his eyes closed.
The post included the text “God might be playing his Trump card”, with Trump adding that “the Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice”.
Earlier in the week, he shared an image portraying himself as Jesus, which drew widespread criticism before being deleted.
At the same time, Trump has continued to criticize Pope Leo XIV, the first American head of the Catholic Church, who has condemned the US-Israeli war with Iran. Vice President JD Vance described the pope’s statements as problematic on theological grounds.
The pope said he was not concerned by the criticism and would continue to speak out.
