Russia Says US Rejected Proposal on Iran Uranium

Russia said the United States has rejected its proposal for Moscow to take control of Iran’s enriched uranium in an effort to ease tensions in the Middle East.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the move could help resolve the conflict and reduce risks linked to Iran’s nuclear program.

The proposal is not new. Russia first put it forward last year without reaching a concrete outcome and has revived it again this week.

According to media reports, the United States has rejected the idea, citing concerns about Iran’s nuclear program. Iran has indicated that its position would depend on a broader agreement with Washington.
