ASML Lifts 2026 Revenue Outlook on AI Demand
Dutch company ASML has raised its 2026 revenue guidance after reporting stronger-than-expected first-quarter results, citing robust demand for chipmaking equipment driven by artificial intelligence.
Chief executive Christophe Fouquet said demand for chips continues to outpace supply, with customers accelerating investment in capacity expansion. The company now expects revenue of €36 billion to €40 billion in 2026, higher than its previous forecast.
ASML is the sole supplier of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems, which are essential for producing advanced semiconductors. Its technology is used by companies including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Nvidia and Apple. Demand growth is also being fuelled by data centre construction and a shortage of memory chips.
The company plans to ship 60 EUV systems in 2026, an increase on the previous year. First-quarter results showed a profit of €2.76 billion on revenue of €8.76 billion.
ASML also warned that export restrictions targeting China could pose risks to its future growth.
