Magyar Promises Government for All Hungarians After Victory

Peter Magyar, leader of Hungary’s Tisza party, said after his election victory that his government would serve all Hungarians.

In a post on social media, he thanked voters at home and abroad for their support.

“It is a huge honour that you have empowered us with the most votes ever to form a government and to work for a free, European, well-functioning and compassionate Hungary over the next four years,” he wrote.

Magyar stressed that the Tisza cabinet would be “the government of every Hungarian person”. He described the election result as a mandate for fundamental change and a shift towards European values.

The incoming leader also indicated that his government would focus on restoring social unity and ensuring state stability after years of political division.
