Iran Says Military Ships Near Hormuz Breach Ceasefire

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Sunday that any military vessels approaching the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of the two-week-old ceasefire with the US.

The force, which effectively controls Iran’s military operations, added that such vessels would be dealt with harshly and decisively.

The strait is under the control and "reasonable management" of the Iranian navy, the Revolutionary Guards said in remarks reported by state media. They added that the waterway is "open for the safe passage of non-military vessels in accordance with specific regulations".
