Pro-Palestinian group claims attack on Czech facility
Polish security forces have detained a third suspect in connection with a deliberate fire that struck an optics and drone manufacturing plant in Pardubice, Czech Republic, in March. The suspect, a 23-year-old Polish man, has been charged with aiding and abetting the arson attack.
A court in Warsaw has remanded him in custody for three months while the investigation continues.
Meanwhile, a pro-Palestinian group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The fire caused millions of dollars in damage and raised broader security concerns in the region.
Earlier, authorities in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia reported detaining several suspects of various nationalities, including an Egyptian and an American.
LPP had previously considered cooperation with the Israeli defence company Elbit Systems, although it said this did not ultimately materialise.
